I called my local transmission parts warehouse and they say they sell 2 torque converters for the CRD motor. The first being the "liberty TC". The second being the "liberty / Hemi TC". He also stated the second also had the "angled fins". Is this a good TC to use? I really only want to replace it once, but to get the suncoast is over $800 shipped to me.

68037142AA or R8037142AA or RL037142AA are all part numbers for the mopar Euro TC. This unit has a 400 ftlb lockup clutch and should be enough for the CRD. Hope it works out.

Stock Mopar OEM TC is rated for 300 ft. lbs. max (406 Nm)
Mopar Euro TC is rated for 400 ft. lbs. max (~ 542 Nm)
Suncoast CRD-1ES TC is rated for 600 ft. lbs. max (813 Nm)

If you ever plan to increase the HP & torque of your CRD with a reflash, be advised of the TC's limits....
