So I replaced all my ceramic glow plugs with Etecno 7v steel.

Had #4 go- replaced with Idparts and a refund
#1 now goes with p1261- is it the plugs or the module that could be going bad killing the plugs?
Is there a module replacement for 7v? or only the 5v revision.

I have GDE Eco as well for 7v tune.

same issue with the Etecno , now I'm run an economical 7V Genesis/Vega steel glow plug ,and I touch for good luck, but they seem ok, although I have to wait until next winter.
same number of Etecno , but at half of the cost try to search on ebay

and I use the GP module with AC code

I've had 2 of my 4 Etecnos fail in less than year. I replaced my controller for good measure. I pulled the old one apart and it looked ok, nothing burnt. My personal opinion is that Etecno glow plugs suck.

Yeti. I'm curious about the genesis wega. Do you have a part number?

When is the last time you replaced your ASD relay? It's a cheap $8 part that is known to eat glow plugs when it fails.

It's part of my maintenance plan now, every 3 oil changes ~ 18k Miles.
