Up until now I have ignored all the lift kit threads because I never wanted to do a lift. But now that I'm at the point where I have to replace all my shocks I'm thinking of doing the lift too. So I've started researching and trying to figure out all the pieces I would need for a 2.5 inch lift. Searching through the jeepinbyal website here are the parts I have come up with: OME 790 front springs Rancho front struts 0.5 inch clevis spacers JBA rear 2.5 inch lift springs Rancho rear lift shocks Am I missing anything? Any recommendations or other ideas for a 2.5 to 3 inch lift? |

I've been VERY pleased with the Jeepin' By Al 2.5" lift on my wife's '06 CRD. I primarily installed it for the increase in on-road ride quality it provides, as my wife has a very bad back and the stock ride was a killer. The Bilstein shocks (the rears have the remote-mounted reservoir) are great. While I was at it, I installed new bushings (all)/ball joints/inner- and outer tie rod ends as well. Marlin at Jeepin' By Al was great to deal with too. Steve |
