Hi, some may have seen my post about my CRD limited being totaled, I really wasn’t expecting to have to replace her but the insurance company is totaling it. They have offered me a settlement that includes me getting my Jeep back plus some cash. I thought about looking for a CRD with a bad motor but haven’t found any and I can’t be without a vehicle. Is anyone interested in buying my CRD that besides the damage pictured is in great shape? I bought it new and have used Amsoil exclusively in all fluids since then. The engine was overhauled 80,000 miles ago after a glow plug broke which broke the head of a valve off and split #4 liner. That cylinder was re-sleeved, one new piston, all cylinders honed, new rings, etc. It has a Euro torque converter, rear mounted 6-disc changer, gray interior with heated leather seats, the A/C still works great. It also has an electric puller fan conversion which eliminates the stock electric pusher fan and the stock mechanical fan, cools better, and improves fuel mileage. This rig gets great fuel mileage averaging 26mpg in mixed driving. You can start and hear it run. All of the damage is suspension, frame, and possibly the front differential. The left axle was pulled from the diff during the accident but I don’t know for sure if there is any damage to the diff. The intercooler, radiator, air bags (even side bags) are all still intact, nothing under the hood has even been moved. The driver door may be ok, the hood has a small ding on the corner. I’m not looking to get rich on this deal, just need $$ to buy another vehicle so p.m. me an offer if you’re interested or feel free to post questions.

Thanks, Tigafila

New rockers when overhauled? I assume the timing belt has roughly 80k on it?

When overhauled the only rockers that had any wear were the ones related to the cylinder that was re-sleeved, they were replaced (I credit Amsoil). Yes, timing belt has about 75k on it along with tensioner, idlers, etc. Cylinder head was also gone through and valves re-seated or replaced.

Thanks, Tigafila
