Quality and reliability I can let go, but extensive technical support is ludicrous :D...

Thinking about the color...

If it is only for underground operations - why have windshield wipers?
Why have a 5-speed transmission? It probably won't ever leave first or second gear!

Does it have airbags? ABS? Those things make it street legal, which it will most probably someday be driven on... Now, how can we purport ourselves as a commercial operation to be able to buy one?

Well...any contractor that does sitework and has a rock crusher is technically a 'Miner'. The crushing sites are all classified as open pit mines. If you're really interested, you might contact a contractor with a rock crusher...

Heck, I'd rather have it as white as I can get it if it's going to be in a coal mine. Glow in the dark, even.

Or paint it black and put infrared cameras on it: "Where'd I park the dang Jeep? Over here somewh....OW!"

If there were a way to get it licensed on the street, I'd take a j8 and put a wrangler interior in it in a second... It's like a JK, but with heavier duty everything, and a 2.8 VM. What's not to like?

Looks like it has leaf springs in the rear as their "unique HD suspension". That explains the tow capacity. If it were actually cheaper than a regular JK then it'd make a great off-road only build platform because most buggies I wheel with never see the street and haven't had tags on them in years. It has a rear d60 so all it'd need is a matching front. Can cut all the leaf BS out of the back and link it. Could run it with it's little steel bed or just cut that whole part of the frame off and make a new rear section out of tube. If this is a real thing then it's definitely interesting.

As a former underground coal miner, no one buys white equipment because all the openings are covered in powered limestone dust, to help prevent coal dust explosions. So everything is mostly white except the area where coal is actively being produced. Most equipment is yellow or orange with a lot of reflective tape applied.

MSHA requires signage at each underground mine with an ID number.

One could use that number from a drive by outside the fence to order one and prove it's use in mining.

You could explain that your business is mine surveying and you are going to customize it at a local repair shop before it goes into the mine.

hmmmm......

Dammit, now I'm thinking of ways that this might get bought. Only problem is they probably want too much for the thing.
