Post subject:  looking to own Engine Codes

Hello to all, been looking and lurking for some time now. I have contacted some of the for Sale post, most are just too far away. I have found ONE in my area ( Nashville), 2005 stock Limited. but it dose have it's problems. Seems #4 cyl is "dead"( dealers words)
Engine Codes are:
P 0120 Throttle position sensor
P 0376 Cylinder # 6 circuit low (humm 4 cylinder CRD)???
P 0299 Boost in low range
P 0340 Camshaft position circuit bank 1 sensor 1
P 0353 Ignition coil 3 circuit (humm 4 cylinder CRD)???
P 1236 Fuel pump control out of range
p Fuel pressure regulator
Runs very rough at idle an the longer it idles the rougher it gets.
Not really knowing the CRD system do any of you have any input on this little tractor, fuel system maybe?

Setting aside the wisdom of buying something that run poorly unless you can get an extremely good deal and are handy with tools.

P0299 could be a boost pressure solenoid issue or could be a leaky vacuum line leading to the vacuum storage tower just behind the air filter box.
Cannot offer much on the other codes but have one question. How many miles on the vehicle? I ask because my gut is saying it's jumped time. If so you are looking at a timing belt kit and replacing the rockers/"lifters" which is about $800 in parts and the better part of a weekend job if you know what you are doing.

TY for your input. jeep has just at 100,000 miles, timing time, is very drily, wheels look to have been sitting with flat tires, rust on 6 to 8 inches along bead. Engine is very dirty, no cover, no blow by, no pisst pisst sound from CC. Body wise it has been bumped on both ends, but very minor just pushed the plastic.
Wrenching is not an issue, am an A&P plus son is a heavy diesel machanic. Just neither of us know squat about these CRDs.

Hi thunderhorse.
A lot of fun chasing some codes. Have a look at my posts on "Air inlet sensor circuit disable" to see the problems you can have. if that vehicle was for sale in Australia, it would be worth at max $1000 if you really needed it.

senator;
Yep chasing codes is SO much fun. The only diesel experience I have is on a Mazda/Perkins that I put in a Samurai a few years ago.
