All,

Need to replace my thermostat. I've read through the tech section and am well-equipped to do the job at home. I've googled the tstat/gasket and came across lots of possible vendors. I have never purchased from any of them and wonder if the group can provide guidance on which vendor to use for price and delivery?

Thanks,

Dan

Have you thought about using the inline thermostat? It is a ten minute job and doesn't fail as much. I have had mine for 3 years and work's great.

We don't know this is the best there is as there are not many in service and no history on them.

"We"certainly doesn't include me nor the people that are willing to invest in this product. I can see a successful design without actually trying a product. Certainly the oem or sant is not the best, and for those particular cases, there is enough evidence to support the statement. But overall I just want to give op more options.

Funny thing is that the Stant is the most cost-effective choice. I got mine for $9 and my back up for $7. So for the cost of yours I have about 34 years worth if I switched them out every year. But my current one is 3 years old. So I have 90-120 years worth. I only wish my Jeep last that long. The Stant is a great idea and very smart. But that is my opinion. Your is also very smart idea but to me just not cost-effective.

Guys, I'm not trying to say it doesn't work, I'm saying it's not the best. And there is evidence to prove this in this forum. Works fine for you, I'm very happy and wish you luck. I didn't buy a jeep because it's cost effective, if I wanted a cost effective car I would've bought a Jetta tdi. So again, no intention to say that who has a stant is this and that, just wanted to give op a better alternative.
