I am currently trying to study about changing tunes via the ECM -

In my business, the machines are not made any longer, so it is important to have a backup for any possible issue.
Since 911 I have taken this practice to everything, maybe I am being over cautious

Before I actually change the ECM programing and rely on software to be an operation back-up, I thought i would buy a used ECM module, and use that to play around with - while putting my original aside as a back-up..

Trying to find a used "CRD" ECM seems difficult. Are the ECMs physically the same in ALL 2005 liberty ? Since the software in them is going to be changed/re-flashed, does it make a difference if the ECM comes out of gas run 2005 liberty?

thanks all.. dw
