 Post subject: Worth buying a botched TB job for $2800?

Would cost a couple hundred to get it to my garage.
Pull the heads, do a rocker rebuild, new TB??

I thought about this one. But it looks a little rough and looks to be sitting in a junkyard lot. Lol
Like mentioned, I wouldn't go above $2000 for it

Go low on it. I have seen some with the valves shot through pistons and they thought it would only be rockers. If you get lucky, then it could be a profitable flip.

He isn't wrong on that - I've seen that too, even when the block would still rotate. I wouldn't be over $1000 either.

Or quite likely that "I don't have the time" is a different translation of "I screwed something up, know what I did, and want to make it someone else's problem b/c it is a lot worse than I originally thought."
