Go low on it. I have seen some with the valves shot through pistons and they thought it would only be rockers. If you get lucky, then it could be a profitable flip.

He isn't wrong on that - I've seen that too, even when the block would still rotate. I wouldn't be over $1000 either.

Tempting indeed. I do not like it when a seller says "I don't have the time..." when what they mean is they don't want to take the risk."

Or quite likely that "I don't have the time" is a different translation of "I screwed something up, know what I did, and want to make it someone else's problem b/c it is a lot worse than I originally thought."
