I have narrowed my choice to the following 3 options. Planning to go with P235/75-R16 on the stock 16" rims with no lift or other mods. 1.) Hankook Dynapro ATM 2.) Firestone Destination A/T 3.) Cooper A/T-3 I am looking for an AT tread that has good performance in the winter snow and ice. Also would like a reasonably quiet ride and decent wear. I typically get about 40,000 miles out of tires rated for +55,000. |

Tire Kingdom has the Cooper Discoverer RTX. Looks like a really good off road tire. $102 each for 245/75-16. They quoted me $605 for everything installed. |

I really like my set of Cooper A/T-3. Quiet, good in the wet, perform well on the trail and the highway. |

I got the Coopers 18 months or so ago. Very, very nice. Great wear, too. |

I was so happy with the BF/Goodrich Long trail T/A that I couldn't recommend anything else. I know those aren't in your list, doesn't change my opinion on them. |

225x75R16's, last set lasted about 65k miles and didn't REALLY need to be replaced but I felt better doing it. They were $670 for a set of 4 installed with alignement. Do well on any surface, any weather. |

+1 for bfgoodrich. I have the t/a ko and after 50k they still had about 1/3 thread left. Had because I replaced them with new just because. Hexus' tires also have great wear resistance. I one am sold on this tire. Noise wise, it's not as quiet as a street tire, but you can still listen to the radio at decent volume and have a conversation with somebody without yelling. But considering that I've never had a flat with off-road tires, and I pull bent or broken screws and nails from them and they don't pierce through, it's also worth the convenience and peace of mind of not having to replace a tire due to flats... |

Can they work without lift or spacers or you have to get lifted? thanks |

Can they work without lift or spacers or you have to get lifted? thanks Well, it all depends on how big you want them ![]() I don't have my crd lifted and they fit without issues with 245x70x16 size. Before replacing front coils I had a very small rubbing on the plastic inner fender liner on max turn, but that went away as the tires got worn a little. This slight rubbing occurred with stock rims, going custom rims with bigger offset would eliminate rubbing for good, at least with bf Goodrich ta ko I have, not sure about other tires. But fyi, the rubbing is so insignificant that shouldn't be a deterrent in going with that size, you only notice a low squeak and see the inner cover very clean where rubbing occurs, and it only occurs when max turning, how often you do that... May be an issue only if your front coils are super-sagged, like maybe less than couple inches between top tire and fender, but even that low, it will only rub on max turn. Rear fitment does not pose issues at all for this size. |

so far im a big fan of: General Grabber AT/2, very similar to the BFG AT KO. Just had these installed on the jeep. Had the BFGs on the truck and they were pretty good as long as you stayed away from deep mud. ![]() |

Just curious how it compares with the bf Goodrich. |

I have Cooper AT 3's on mine. Stock 16's. Noticed I no longer needed 4x4 in snow compared to the all season that came with it. Also did the Alpine Loop (clockwise out of Lake City plus Animas) back in August and never had any issues getting up the pass either. I think altitude sickness, sleep deprivation and coffee helped. I'm about try them out at KS Rocks. So far, I've been pleased with them. |

Ordered 235 70 16 Hankook Dynapro ATM as Goodrich KO or Dura Tracs were too rich for my pocket , got them shipped for 436 discount tires direct so another 40 for install at Walmart and will be good to go. It was a tough call between them and General Grabber as I loved their tread pattern but internet reviews made me take hankook's so will keep you guys posted. |
