I've turned it 90 degrees and nothing comes out. Do you need to pull it back also? Don't want to go tugging on it and end up breaking it if it's not supposed to be pulled and is simply blocked. |

It should move very noticeably out as you rotate it. IIRC, it may actually need to rotate more than 90 before that starts to happen. There are easily-felt stops at both ends of the travel. Don't force it if you feel more than just a little resistance. |

I never use them,they will all inevitably break if used more than once. Pull the lower hose. Case closed |

Yeah, got it, just wasn't turning it enough Of coarse, it wasn't until this successful attempt that I realised that I don't have to crawl around under the vehicle. It's currently stripped down to change the TB and water pump so accessing that petcock from above is a breeze ![]() Now, hopefully it will be drained by tomorrow evening

I shove a small clear hose through the bleeder port, suck and siphon. If you do this first, by the time you get the other parts pulled off, you will have enough fluid out. |
