My check engine light is on but I can't get any scanner to connect to the jeep. I've checked the fuse and it looks ok what else am I missing? I've been to oreilys and advance so far and their machine would t connect any help would be great. The light came on two days after I picked up the jeep from the dealer from getting the 6k in deer damage fixed. |

P0234-BOOST PRESSURE SENSOR NEGATIVE DEVIATION. P0073–AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATUR SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH since you just had front end repair I'd guess on the side of someone didn't plug in all the wires or tighten hose clamps |

What are you doing to filter the air? Air sensor is on the grill somewhere. Check out the noob guide at the top of this list...some useful info about the MAP sensor and links to manuals. |

Awesome. But didn't you kind of expect that not having sensors plugged in would cause problems? |

nope i have the gde eco tune and it eliminates those sensors in the air box so they arent needed. the jeep has been running almost a year like this with no light so i know thats not the issue for the light. im looking now in the noob giude to see where the one in the grill is to go check to see if that one is hooked up or not and if i knew how to post pics i would show you my setup for my air filter |

My rig threw the 0073 code when I had the grill/headlights unit disconnected entirely for a repair I was making. So check that largish connector near the driver's side headlight. But if your headlights work...don't know where the issue is. But the MAP sensor has a good deal of discussion on this board. I don't know whether the MAP sensor in the intake manifold compares to the pressure on the sensor in the stock airbox, or how the GDE tune copes with that if there is such a comparison. But, again, if it has been acting fine up until now, check the MAP sensor itself. |

Sounds like that's your issue. $20 to find out. |

P0073 for me was because I forgot to connect the headlight connector when putting together the headlight header back on. |
