I'm sure this subject has been discussed before but there are so many treads I haven't found the answer yet. I have 7v steel Etecno now. I'm sure after this past winter there are fellow users who have tried both. Which is better.

There are quite a few on this forum who have reported installing the 5v Bosch GP's and have reported no problems best that I can remember... :roll:
Many northern cold country members who have installed the 7v Etecno GP's on the other hand have reported mucho cold start issues with them... :banghead:

i can't comment on bosh GP , but 7v e-technos , 1st batch that i install didn't last they burnt out one at time , second batch good didn't fail , but I was happy didn't have CEL any more , plugged in started ok , not plugged ,i left it and i jumped in my jetta , not plugged first crank starts smokes and my neighbour comes out complaining , diesel smell and noise , then i go to work end of story.

oh i forgot to mention that i purchase 3d set of 7v etecnos siting in my tool box just in case if needed (SPARE), my engine is like new and it's upgraded to our forum standards , but in order to start it in cold days with this GP it is not so easy with out help (PLUGGING IN) sorry we did go over this topic before , so let hear from 5 v group and their opinion. again this does not bother me because it is not my DD vehicle.
