Finally got around to doing my Artic Camo Job that I have been thinking about for years...hand laid about
300+ individual pieces in an asymmetrical pattern to signify driving thru a creek and dirt...there is some silver
blue pieces towards the front half of the Jeep

Kinda off topic, but I noticed you installed those air deflectors things. I see them on semis from time to time, did they help mpg at all?

That arctic camo is pretty sweet, definitely got some time wrapped up in that.

At first I didn't like it. But after two minutes I think it's one of the best white liberty I have seen! Great Job!

Thanx...looks better in person. My vinyl guy was a bit hesitant about my idea too (he used to cut the vinyl for my Mazda Race Cars in the past), but he loved the result.

Now I got to figure out what I want to do with the stock wheels??? Powder Coat Gun Metal Grey or figure out some kind of vinyl for them.

What's up gmctd? We could do a clean decal job on yours so it always looks washed...maybe soapy bubbles???

After 2 years of pondering the design...the actual cutting and applying was about 5 hours...not that bad.

The AirTabs (5 on the roof and 3 on each side) might help mpg over the long run...hard to accurately measure but
they do seem to help stability a bit on the highway. A test of what they actually do to the air is easy to replicate at a
high pressure car wash. I shoot the spray down the side of the vehicle and you definitely get three very distinct vortices trailing off the back of the Liberty. The rear window does stay much cleaner and if you added a few more...maybe a better result...I spaced them out more than they said to.

Your rear tail light has the same contour shape of an Airtab...maybe you can try the car wash technique to mimic a single Airtab and see...

I have been back about 1 week... a lot going on the past few years or so. Moved to New Braunfels to a new house...Moved my Mom to assisted living
from Austin to New Braunfels...had a Stroke last December (scary stuff...let my Blood Pressure get a way from me...back in check now and recovery is about 90%...got very lucky)...my other half then got diagnosed with Stage II Breast Cancer but is also doing well. Last but not least, we decided to buy a Travel Trailer this October...wish I had done it earlier (2015 Jayco White Hawk 29REKS that we pull with our 2012 Ford F150 EcoBoost SuperCrew). Thru everything...I am just enjoying life as it comes!

Bad news doesn't often arrive with a silver lining, so it's good to hear things have smoothed out and are improving

I have recently begun advising increased attention to the KJ fuel rail at it's 10-year passage event - so, I can personally commiserate with you on your recent health issues, having had to monitor my own 'rail pressure' for the past 10yrs, addressing it with various required chemicals necessary to keep it within design specs, endeavoring to prevent any further DTC's - seems to be working

An enjoyable hobby does help to relieve stress, so that camper (nice rig, btw!) should work wonders for you and your wife - hopefully it will ensure a long life for you both, with many happy returns

Cheers, dude.................

Well I am originally from Keflavik, Iceland but now reside in Texas...hence the green grass...pretty much stays green all year round!

The older I got the farther north I went. After seeing that nice green grass I'm re-evaluating that plan with extreme zeal.

Nice - that does highlight a few features that blend in and not normally noticed

Thinking about making a "pre-cut kit" to do 4 wheels plus the spare. Flat Black, Glossy Black and Gun Metal Metallic...can do other colors if needed.

Sure is cheaper and faster than buying new wheels...can apply while the wheels are on the Jeep.
