Not elitist, just don't like leather seats.
Not that I like the KJ cloth seats but a cheap set of seat covers fixed that.

I'm with you on the leather seats . My Jetta TDI has leather and not a fan.
Hot in the summer , I'm hot blooded and no slouch (40 something fat guy) , not a fan of sweating my back/booty off .
Cold in the winter , heated seats help , but end up the same as above ..

Everyone that gets in the car says , why do you have a seat cover on a leather seat?

Best seats I ever had was in my 89 Fox Body Mustang GT 5.0L . Stock cloth Recaro's.

Chief, if you're really in a mood to weld/fab custom sliding mechanism for seats of your choice, I'd get the cheapest kj seats, cut the lower part with sliding mechanism and weld them on the seats of your choice. It's some work but you get what you want. Plus, there are some older car models with very nice seats, including ac cooling and massage, I saw some Mercedes S ones on eBay about 6 months ago for couple hundred bucks. Then you'll become the "elitist", lol.

I'd be more curious what steering wheel with heating can the kj get, this just to high jack your thread :P

After posting I've been looking around for options to add Recaro's 8) .

This might be an option if your not into or have the ability to fabricate something from .

Nice finding, they have for more vehicles, I like the idea and price is reasonable.

I've adapted a couple of seats into other vehicles. I put a set of bucket seats I found on the side of the road into my CJ5, and a junkyard set from an Isuzu Trooper into my Nissan Hardbody. Both times, I found that it's fairly easy to bolt the new seat to the vehicles original riser/slider. It seems like the seat itself is pretty generic. It's the riser/slider that is vehicle specific.

I quite like the cloth seats in my 05 Sport, except that I'd really like seats that fold forwards, for the odd time I'm trying to get something long in the back!
