Can anyone give me a quick write up on how to install this thermostat? I don't want to buy the oem thermostat and I can't seem to find a technical write up for one.

Don't drill the hole in the thermostat when installing it, just put it against the factory thermostat outlet (the elbow at the top of the engine that connects to the top of the radiator) and ram the hose over it and the factory outlet.

You want the copper "bullet" pointed into the factory thermostat elbow, and you want them to stay in contact with each other. Place a hose clamp around the new in-hose thermostat body to keep it from migrating in the hose (or it will) and then another clamp on the factory outlet to keep the hose there.

Thats it, you are done!

Sure they can fail, like anything else mechanical, it is only a matter of time.

The advantage with these is that it is an $8 part, not a $100 part and a pain in the arse to dig out, for the same technology and age cycle.
