I have the GDE tune and just put in the weeks mod. My code reader says "turbo underboost" but the manual says "throttle position sensor" I have very little power after 30MPH. But it does accelerate, albiet, slowly.
I put in new Samco hoses and checked everything, no leaks.
So is it a problem in the TPS sensor circuit or is the tubo not boosting. I checked the vacuum and have 28 at the modulator.???

TPS sensor failure invokes 'limp-mode' - likely you bumped some wiring in the weeks elbow area - several sensors are on each +5v source - thus, a pinched wire can disable several sensors - recheck wiring in that area

Tks
But I pulled all the plugs on that side when I did the head gasket job and the weeks mob.
Is there a chance that there is something I did not reconnect on the intake side after the weeks mod?

Don't remember the code I had, but once I forgot to tie the clamp for the turbo hose. Could that be in your case?

It would be most helpful if you post the actual DTC that you are seeing

P0229 is a TPS malfunction. P0299 is turbo underboost. There is a conflict between your subject header and what you say your code reader is telling you the diagnosis is.

Yep - KJ APS is up around 2120-2125, called Accelerator Position Sensor, since we don' need no steenkin' throttles............
- think his reader is using the TPS gasser version

I was in error, it was 299/turbo under boost. I was putting up Xmas decorations and geiswig put in the seed of doubt. So I drove 40 minutes RT to check the code reader and as another suggested, the hose clamps. I did not have the clamp on the weeks manifold square/ offset so it is probable that there is my boost leak. I thought it more politically correct to get back to the Xmas decorations. Without these forums for my two older tdi s and my two crd s I would be in trouble. I would just buy a new car and join the crowd.

Like the wife says, " 'Tis the season to DO AS YOU'RE BLOODY WELL TOLD!"

Glad you got it sorted. And yes, forums like this can be a huge help.
