Have 2006 crd. Put in first gear everything is ok. Shift up into 2nd everything ok. Shift into drive ok for a few seconds then won't let me go faster than 25. Engine will rev up just won't allow me to go over 25. Reverse also works fine.

Check transmission fluid level, and smell it to see if it smells burnt. Wipe some on your fingers to see if it looks real dark, a sign of burnt fluid.
Keep us posted!

I'd take it to a transmission shop, see what they say. That 545RFE is a pretty common transmission.

Hopefully it's a solenoid pack issue, and not a clutch pack or something awful.

These are the code definitions:
P0732 Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio
P0733 Gear 3 Incorrect Ratio
P0736 Reverse Incorrect Ratio
P0770 Shift Solenoid E
P0869 Trans Fluid Press Hi
P0935 Gear Shift Lock Solenoid Ctrl Circ Low (Dodge code) / Hydraulic Press Sens Circ Hi (Generic code)
P1790 - Fault immediately after a shift

One of the most common things I read was: "check the fluid level when hot in neutral".. Low fluid level can cause some fairly significant problems.
If fluid level is OK, I agree with Hexus, find yourself a good transmission shop. You either got problems in the solenoid pack or problems in the front pump housing plungers....
Good luck, and let us know what you find!

I guess so you have all the info the jeep was wrecked. Damage in the front right. No engine damage. Sat for a year. Put new battery in it. Ran and drove fine. Then all of a sudden lights on dash went haywire and radio quit. Lights seem fine now. That's when transmission issue started. When it shifts into drive it slips in my opinion. Engine will still rev up transmission just won't lock up. Guy wants to sell it. I was interested because it seemed like it might have been something simple. 2006 with 175000 miles for $1500. Figured engine was worth that.

P0770 is an electrical fault - solenoid windings, harness or TCM. Combined with all the other codes I'm guessing harness damage or TCM. Maybe even water or moisture if it's been sitting around.

Yes, but you have a transfer case bolted to the rear of yours, which involves complete tear-down of both trans to install on a 2wd trans -why go older, from '05 to '04, particularly when it will require teardown? Not even including '04 purchase price

Determine what's wrong with yours (lighter weight vehicle usually means less wear'n'tear), and if needbe, tear yours down for rebuild

If you can, start and run the engine till at operating temperature, then check trans fluid level - sounds like fluid level is too low to fill hydraulic circuits = slippage

Fluid was first thing I checked. Might try to change solenoid before anything else.

Drop the pan and make darn sure the flat filter has not come loose and dropped down preventing the oil pump from getting proper suction. After changing the filters, refill with ATF+4 and overfill it about a 1/2 quart and test drive....
It is very important that this transmission not be low in fluid or be allowed to suck any air into the pump! If it does, it wreaks havoc on the poor old tranny....

Could be one-way valve in filter is stopped up - pull the pan, carefully so as not do disturb any detritus in bottom of pan, check for metal bits and chunks of stuff, and thick sludge, which would be deteriorated clutch material - white stuff would be homogenized oil\water, not even good - replace filters and new ATF+4

Do not even attempt to back-flush the 545RFE transmission, particularly so after sitting for year - draining fluid and pulling pan allows for inspection and diagnosis

Check transmission harness wiring for damage while you're at it - dunno where on the right-side it was hit, but TCM is on the right front fender-well

I would also buy a can of contact cleaner and remove the plugs at both the valve body and TCM, give both male and female ends a good spraying and reseat several times. My 40 years in industrial electronic maintenance and repair proves this works many times.

Worked on connections and had a different mechanic drive the jeep. Hes convinced it's something electrical. The jeep will go in limp mode sometimes not letting me rev above 3000. Other times it acts like it shifts back down into first. Taking it into a different shop tomorrow. When the lights on the dash went crazy for a second the odometer jumped to 231000. Now the odometer doesn't change.

Keep playing and maybe it stops to 900-ish k, you may get an award from vm motori and jeep, lol.

Joke aside, I would recommend getting a good electrician and go through the electric schematics from fsm and see what can be wrong. Did you check the wire harness from behind the fuel filter assembly to make sure is not torn? I hear the 06es have this issue, it rubs on the metal and splices through the wires.
