How hard is it to replace a front axle seal?

Here at my dad's house, in California, he noticed oil drips on his driveway.
Too clean to be engine oil.
Too thick to be Trans fluid.
Looks like it the driver side front axle seal.

I dropped the skid and checked the oil level in the front diff. Seems OK for now.
Looks like seal replacement will have to wait till I return to Florida.
My return trip to FL will begin tomorrow.

Replaced mine on drivers side a little over a month ago. Worst part was getting the CV axle out of the hub bearing so I could pull the other end of the axle out of the differential. Replacing the seal only took a few minutes after all the work to get to it....

Like ww said. Replacing the seal doesn't actually take that long and is fairly simple. It's getting to it is what takes the time. I was changing hubs so I was already torn apart and changed seals on both sides
