Hiya,

I was playing with my new OBD Link LX & Torque Pro on my Android tablet and I had an inadvertent power cycle on the 'Droid Tablet while driving on the freeway. Suddenly the CRD displays a CEL & when I read the codes I get U0121 and U0146, confirmed by the GDE Code Reader.

121: Network Issue
146: No O2 Sensor Input

…am I correct?

I noticed O2 sensor data wasn't available in the Torque Pro display before this hiccup, either, but no CEL was being thrown so I figured it just wasn't available.

My big question is whether or not there's supposed to be O2 sensor data at all & is everyone else able to read it who's using Torque Pro?

Diesel engines don't use Of sensors.
Something is not right with your scan tool.

O2 sensors in gasoline engines report on variations in 14:1 stoichiometric air\fuel mixtures, sometimes called stoke, as in "man, we were stokin' " *
- Diesel engines pump full displacement of air on each 4-stroke cycle
- add a little fuel you get idle
- add a lotta fuel you get power
- would drive an O2 sensor crazy
- so, we don' need no steenkin' O2 sensors, eh........

* indicating some righteous efficiency

FYI the CRD doesn't like being driven much with a reader plugged into the port. Lot's of reports of problems.

So...should only do readings in park?

Correct - KJ ABS module, specific to the Diesel, runs a machiavellian dictatorship on the KJ intranet, and doesn't allow any interruptions - aftermarket scantools are not programmed for diva interface - bus contention resulting in ABS fault indicator can cause loss of braking function, meaning vehicle should be stopped, scantool ABS reset, then scantool unplugged B4 proceeding

This occurs only when ABS is receiving Rear Wheel Speed Sensor input, so PARK or NEUTRAL, or non-moving in any range selection is safe

Awww, boogers! It's so much fun driving around watching all the numbers dance around!

Thanks for setting me straight on the o2 sensor, too.

uuummmhh - it's not just that the numbers bounce around

normally the numbers stop about about 15-20 min.

but if you're cruising on the highway - it will randomly kick you out of overdrive....not fun.
