I've been getting a low coolant warning after initial startup, but only during cold winter months. Shortly after driving, the warning goes away and doesn't come back until the engine has cooled down and same is repeated as mentioned above. Never seen a low coolant warning during the warmer months. Started last winter, no problems through spring, summer, fall and then started again this winter. Any thoughts? |

Can I assume your coolant level is ok (e.g. in line with the middle of the coolant tank)? If so could be the level sensor in the bottom of the tank. Try cleaning contacts first. |

Just had an oil change done less than 1000 miles ago and coolant level is where it should be. |

Sounds like a buggy sensor then. At least you aren't losing juice. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |

I've had this happen twice a few years ago, both when very cold, like mid -20'sC. First time I shut it down right away, popped the hood and checked the level. It was fine and when I restarted the light was off. The second time it went out on it's own after running about 30 seconds. Again the level was fine. |
