Alright I have a wierd issue. I live in the Rockies at about 6500 feet and have been dealing with snow. When I'm driving in full-time through wet and slushy conditions at around 55-60 and the tires spin the traction control light comes on, the abs light comes on, as well as the ESP BAS light comes on and cruise control stops working. This happens for about a minute or so, and all lights go off and everything works again. This has only happened 3 times, once a few months ago and twice today, and it only happens in these conditions. I'm not sure where to start and would like some opinions before I start throwing money at it.

You should thank Chrysler that you have all these safety features. You should never use cruise control in snowy, slushy or icy conditions. Without these features the drive tires would break loose and you would probably be in a ditch.

I believe this is what is happening. When slippage occurs the ESP and traction control kicks in to maintain vehicle control. To maintain control the cruise control is disengaged and ABS is used to restore traction. I don't necessarily believe you have an issue.

To second joeluke, you should never use cruise in slippery conditions. Ever.

Also agree that this is SNAFU and you have no defect.

I find the ESP so badly executed and unpredicable in this thing I have a winter habit of starting and immediately hitting the ESP Off button before pulling out of the garage or my parking space.

Yup, this is traction control working. Even my 2014 Ram Van does something similar. Perfectly normal

NOTE:
KJ Owner Manual begs and pleads with drivers to not use Cruise Control in icy-sleety-slushy conditions

FYI:
- 2005's have Rear Wheel Antilock Brake System RW-ABS with no ESP
- uses speed sensor bolted into top center of rear differential housing, pulses off ring gear
- '05 ABS module is separate - '06 module will not interchange

- 2006's have All or Four Wheel Antilock Brake Sysetem A\4W-ABS with ESP
- has separate speed sensor on each rear wheel for more finite control
- '06 ABS module is separate - '05 module will not interchange

'05 and '06 ECM will not interchange

Eh, if he knows what he's doing he can use cruise control. I use it all the time when driving on the highway on snow/ice straight lines on any car. Just need to pay attention when the car tends to correct herself and take it off so you won't start spinning or loose control. But I think cruise control gets disabled in such conditions. And of course, don't cruise in 80mph when is 1+ foot of snow, but I assume those things as part of "know what he's doing", lol.

Thank you all for your replies and concerns, although there has been a misunderstanding with the cruise control. While I do have a bad habit of using it in times I often shouldnt, cruise control wasnt active during this, I tried to turn it on after the fact and that's how I know it didn't work. Also, under "normal" operating cicircumstances when traction control takes over, the traction control light blinks, abs does its job and the light stops blinking a few moments later. The ABS light never comes on, as well as the ESP light. In my case at the speeds mentioned in my OP, when a slip occurs all lights pertaining to traction control become illuminated and stay lit. I do not believe this to be normal operations, and in lower speed situations traction control works as intended. I will post a picture of my dash to give better understanding.

You could have a dealer check the ABS codes, maybe a wheel speed sensor is intermittent or a poorly sealed connection.

Do a search under my name....wiring to wheel sensors that breaks is very common and a problem I had a couple of times.
