Wife moved the CRD 2 days ago a short distance in my yard.. apparently didn't get the key all the way off, and I had a dead battery to deal with this morning.

Upon attaching the charger, The alarm went apeshit, so I went into the cab to hit the unlock on the key to disarm it. This is when I noticed the gauges going apeshit as well.. Even when the key was not in the switch.. The gauges were buzzing and flashing until I put the key back in and turned it to start. It only clicked because the charger was only on for a couple minutes by then. The gauges then all returned to normal..

Was this a normal 'reboot' type thing? All seems well since then, battery stays up, lil buggy runs fine.

Detach battery cables when charging.

IF it is a solid cell battery then it is charged with a special charger.
