Sounds like the fuel system is sucking air.

"Check your connections to the lines running from the fuel tank right off the tank itself. The quick connects they use are known to leak air."
This advice I found from Wolverine FW a while back.

The connectors look in good shape and they aren't leaking is there another way to test them?

You won't see them leaking unless you have an in tank fuel pump. Those connectors are made for gasoline engines (pump in tank) and Chrysler cheap out and use same for the Crd that does not have stock in tank pump. So instead of having fuel pushed through the fuel line, you have fuel sucked through it by the cp3. Air density is less than fuel's and you may suck air through.

The connectors are not the problem! Wrapped them up with airplane f-4 tape and no change! DAM! :banghead: Any other Idea's? When i tried turning off the OD switch it shifted and seamed to have more get up and go at the cost of high rpm. Could it be a trans control problem? Grasping at straws I know.

Any grass\leaves\etc in the airbox below the air filter?

Anything covering the air inlet behind the grille?

Lots of furry critters looking for a warm dry place to vacation over the winter

Original fuel head or update fuel head....
Sometimes the original fuel head would develop or already had leaks.
Do a search and you'll find alot of archived info.
If it was transmisson (mechanically) you'd notice more issues than just at highway speeds.
