Just wondering what is different from the free to the pro version? Mostly looking for the difference in free/pro for the CRD, but also for other cars too if you have any knowledge on that would be helpful.
I'm thinking of upgrading to the pro.

Will the pro version read my abs codes?

It's a great app and I was happy to give the author $5 for his work regardless of what the differences are.

It looks like the lite version may simply be based on an older version of the code though there are probably some deliberate feature omissions as well..

The pro version doesn't support ABS.

Definitely worth buying the Pro version, but it's been a year since I bought it and I can't really remember what it offers over the basic version. That having been said, do not use it for live-readout of statistics while driving for anything more than a minute or two. It doesn't interface with the computer properly and will lock up.

I figured it would come to the HF reader. I was hoping there would be a cheaper one lol. Thanks for the reply.

http://www.harborfreight.com/autel-maxi ... 62385.html

AUTEL MaxiDAS-700

Preliminary trial:
Any desired functional parameter must be selected for display on viewing screen

- no specific selection for KJ CRD
- did scan KJ CRD when '05 selected
- did scan KJ CRD when '06 selected
- did scan overall system modules
- did scan all modules for DTC
- did clear all module DTC's
- did scan ECM live parameters
- did scan ABS live parameters
- did scan TCM live parameters
- did scan BCM live parameters
- did scan other modules incl FCM
- gave some parameters in volts but not in actual values, such as Mass Air Flow

Not as good as DRBIII @ $4000 or STARSCAN@ $4000, but, @~$1000, better than most aftermarket scantools

AUTEL MaxiDAS-700 - Hold off on this one

Preliminary trial:

- no selection for KJ CRD
- didn't scan KJ when '05 selected
- did scan when KJ '06 selected
- didn't scan overall system
- did scan ECM DTC
- did scan ECM live parameters
- didn't scan ABS
- have not yet tried TCM
- have not tried BCM, others
- will try all again when dry outside

Thanks for the reply. I'm guessing that you have it or access to it to try it out? I wasn't really planning on buying that for that much $. I don't see it being worth that much $ for an occasional use, or when i can go to the old way of diagnosing stuff.

I did think about trying one of these sometime maybe.
