| Post subject: | Surging Lights |
My wife noticed this the other day. All the interior dome lights and the little mirror lights flicker when the jeep is at idle. It is really hard to see except at night. I checked all my lights last night in the garage. All the parking lamps surge as well. It is very noticable with just the parking lamps on. Anyone else notice this on their CRD too?? |

| Post subject: | Flashing interior lights |
I have a similar problem. It doesn't happen too often, mostly when cruising down the highway with the cruise on. All of my interior lights: guages, radio, heater/ac controls, and EVIC flash. Seems to be random, on one 80 mile trip they flashed six times, and the last 80 mile trip they only flashed twice. Of course I haven't noticed it during the day. They get brighter when they flash, so there is most likely a loose connection somewhere. I'm not going to bother going to the dealer about it, my dealer won't fix anything unless it can be proven there is a problem. I really think the only way he'll do anything is if the Jeep is towed in. You're lucky it's noticable while idling. This is one of those things that is the reason why I bought the service manual on CD. If you have a illiterate service tech like mine, check the TSB bullitens at http://www.alldata.com/tsb/Chrysler/ If there isn't anything there, in a couple of weeks (I'll be checking), I'll have the time to troubleshoot and post the solution. Let me know what your problem was. Thanks. |
