Went out to start this morning, had not plugged it in because it got up to 48 this weekend.

It was 22, and the battery didn't have enough to start the Jeep.

I had to jump it off of my Wife's Chrysler 200, and man the difference when it was hooked up to that little car!

Supposed to be a 880CCA battery, not happy with this outcome. I've only had it about 24 months!

Going to have it tested today, will advise.

Could be although it's not impossible that you have a key off power draw that's excessive but I personally don't know exactly how to test for that.

I've had 2 excessive power draw events over the years - first was glove box light not shutting off when glove box door was closed and second had something to do with a passenger seat airbag sensor.

I had one go bad after a year in my Land Cruiser. It stopped holding a charge. I couldn't find the receipt so I got screwed on the warranty. I think it was just a random dud. I still have one in the CRD, two in my Ford and one in the Mule. All going strong.
Do you still have the receipt? I believe now Sears puts everything in their system to make warranties easier.

Hexus, do a load test first, if it passes then you know you may have some drain as papa said. I had recently one of the 2 optimas in the Cherokee go south, a cell was shorten and the computer went nuts, behaving like either tps was bad, either iac not working, even threw transmission codes, to make a long story short that battery had 8v in it and got it replaced with new (was 2 yrs old). If your P1 won't hold charge over 12 v overnight I think it's toasted, but I'd make sure there is no drain in your jeep first. I'm surprised though, if P1 becomes the new optima, I'm not even sure what other alternatives are for crd, Napa 1000cca maybe?

I took it in and got it tested, and it failed. I did not have the receipt, but they looked up the purchase in the computer and 100% warrantied it anyways.

I'm very Happy with Sears. They also reset my warranty for the new Battery. Apparently the P-1 Platinum batteries have a 25 month 100% replacement cost warranty, then another 24 month pro-rated warranty (So about $10.80 per month past 25 months for a new battery).

To the guy that said he couldn't find his receipt, you just had some bad help, or maybe they didn't have the computer system they have now....

Exactly what battery did you get? Supposedly the P1 most of us have from 2-3 years ago is no longer available.

- Remove NEG battery cable
- set DVM to CURRENT\AMPS, 10amp range
- connect DVM BLACK\COMMON\- lead to NEG batt cable
- connect DVM RED\POS\+ lead to NEG batt post
- read KEY-OFF current drain
- current drain should be in milliamps for alarm system

The Platinum series has a 48 month free replacement warranty and then after that it's a 72 month prorated warranty, well at least mine does, same warranty as Odyssey(same battery).

The new platinums have 48 months, the ones from 2 years ago only had 25 then 24 prorated.

I got the 34 Series, P1 Platinum Die Hard.
