Hey

So Just got done installing my timing belt after finishing replacing the rockers.

I can turn the crank around, everything lines up on the third turn. its been retensioned. but there is a spot some where in the cycle that it becomes harder to turn. I put the torque wrench on at 20lb-ft and it clicks but nothing ever "stops"

Once the pressure releases it almost sounds like the pressure back fires out the intake.
no metal sounds at all during cycling
Any ideas?

Normal compression of cyclinder?

Does any one know the firing order so i might be able to determine which cylinder to mess with?

Thanks

yup, just feeling the compression. If all the marks line up where they should, sounds like you're ready to go.

You are compressing the air in the cylinder and the noise you describe is perfectly normal. It should happen twice per revolution of the engine - on different cylinders..

Your timing should align every two revolutions of the crank not three as I've seen mentioned a number of times on this forum. If you're seeing it aligned at three you're placing your timing pin into some other void in the flywheel either when you did the initial timing or when re-checking after rotating. You need to be 100% sure you've got this right before trying to start it up.
