Never use Part Time on pavement...
General Rule:
Part Time = OFF pavement -- center *viscous coupling is
OUT of service in this mode and basiclly locks front and read axles together as one, thus the binding on any hard flat surface like pavement anytime the steering is turned changing the rotational rates between the front and rear drive axles...
Full Time = ON or OFF pavement -- center viscous coupling is
IN service in this mode and allows front and real axles to rotate at different rates ant any time.
*A viscous coupling is a mechanical device which transfers torque and rotation by the medium of a viscous fluid.
