Hello,

I've been reading that unplugging the MAF sensor will Disable the EGR System.. True ??
So when I remove it... and install the Delete kit I'm going to likely see a code.
So.. Just wondering.. If the ECU is looking for electrical resistance of some value from the MAF could
I in theory solder a proper value resister " whatever that might be " in to fool the ECU into
thinking the MAF is still there ?? And if thats a NO.. I did see youtube vids on getting a cable that goes tween
a laptop and the OBDII to do a re-write ?? however if my fool the ECU plan could work.. ya know ?

thanks to all...

Clancy

Unplugging the MAF will certainly limit the EGR, but the only sure way to disable it and ensure no leakby is to totally remove the whole crappy mess by installing a Weeks Elbow Kit or install a simple "Block off Plate" on the exhaust feed line to the EGR system.

See this thread:> viewtopic.php?f=5&t=76576

If you install a Weeks Elbow Kit and unplug and discard the EGR valve, EGR cooler, and FCV, there are free tunes available on this forum to disable the DTC's that will be set by unplugging the items.
