I recently purchased the "Euro" TC and both filters for my tranny. I paid $500 ($100 core) from IDParts for the euro. Iwas going to only do the TC but started thinking about with 155,000 miles It would probably be best to rebuild the tranny while I have it off. A local tranny shop wants $3400 to do all the work. Smartpartsauto.com has a rebuild with TC on sale for $1479.

I am not sure what TC it comes with. If it comes with the Hemi TC it seems like the best deal. Compared to the tranny shops rebuild price it seems like a steal! Any oppinions are appreciated. Thanks.

Those prices seem very high (the trans shop rebuild). If everything is functioning well currently, only steels, frictions seals and probably bushings will need to be replaced. Find a local trans guy that will "bench" it for you. My local transmission specialist will bench any auto I drop off for 250-300 plus parts. You can save yourself a substantial sum by removing and replacing the trans in your own driveway or garage if you have the ability.

I'll second that notion. The tranny shop quote seemed a little high depending on there shop rates etc, it'll cost almost the same after they pull your old and put in your new. Bench Job is the way to go to save money like stated already if you have the means to do it that is. good luck either way you go. I have 171+ on my liberty and don't plan on doing anything besides maybe another filter and flush before 200 if I make it that long to do a complete engine rebuild and get stage two turbo from GDE. That would be getting done sooner but factory suspension is beyond shot. Oh and if you mention where your located im sure there a fellow CRD'er that can give a hand or advice for different ships. Again good luck
