Update .... per the service manager, they are waiting for the following parts to arrive:

Torque Converter part number "R803742AA"

Front Pump "RL009879AE"

I believe that the Torque Converter Part number may be the latest revision.... hopefully it's more robust than the previous one they installed.

This will be the 4rth transmission that was replaced under warranty and the 5 torque converter.

Hmmmm........wonder if some blockage exists in the tx cooler lines or tx cooler - you'd think they would check for that after the second replacement

Transmission cooler and lines were replaced with the previous transmission replacement.

The reason for the front pump failure was a damaged seal ????????

Scenario, probable:

1st replacement: Plastic stator shattered, replaced 545RFE, revised Torque Converter, flushed lines and cooler

2nd replacement: required 'nuther 545RFE\front pump and TC, flushed cooler lines, replaced cooler

3rd replacement: required 'nuther 545RFE\front pump and TC, replaced cooler lines, replaced cooler

4rth replacement: resulted from installing TC into pump without lubing silicone o'ring, which immediately scuffed and began leaking

Talented Chrysler super mechanics, super ase certified and with lots of Daimler-Chrysler academy degrees. Too bad diplomas don't do the work by themselves...

Per the service manager:

"Your vehicle is done Sir and there is no charge, please come and pick it up anytime."

I hate to think of what else could happen.

I wonder what the warranty is now!

I'll be taking holy water to it this time, just before I step in.

Better yet, have the pope bless a case of transmission fluid. :)

I'm not Catholic, but even I'm thinking that your CRD needs a blessing and possibly an exorcism too.

Good luck with it, and make sure they specify the warranty in writing on the pickup paperwork! Don't lose those papers!
