If you are using the inline Stant thermostat be sure you add an extra hose clamp to prevent the thermostat from moving toward the radiator. It will stop at the lower bend effectively blocking flow to radiator and engine temp skyrockets up. Dont ask me how I know. :banghead:

That's why I installed a Ford thermostat housing modified by me. Housing and some hose from 95-2000 Ford Contour V-6. Little tight on the top fitting for hood blanket clearance but works excellent. Samco hose rubs more. I am running a 192deg Parts master/motorad (#35492) thermostat and it works excellent. Holds very close to 190deg. large diameter themostat valve plate inside this one. Its larger than the plate in the Ford V-8 thermostats. No problem with flow and I have a bleed line back to the reservoir so it heats up smoothly.
