Talked to M at JBA today. New Direction.

Since I don't go "hardcore" like I did in the beginning, I am leaning toward the 2.5" Silver Package w/ the Coilovers, UCA, Bilstein 5000 and 2.5" spring rear... I can dial it up just a bit to around 2.75"-3" without having to alter the front CV's...just add some spring isolators/spacers to the rear to level it out.

Keeps the price WAY DOWN over the 4" lift and will be all I need for the Texas Beaches and Jeep Roads around here.

Thanx also to tommudd for some insight

You guys are tempting me to go just a little bit bigger when I go to replace the stock saggy springs.

Are there any 'deals' going on for a package?

I couldn't be happier with the OME springs and shocks in my sig. About 20k on it so far. Jeep rides and looks great.

My other option I am flip floppin' with is to keep the OME (~2) and adding a Clevis Spacer (.0375) which should net about .75"-1" and adding a couple of spring isolators to the rear springs to compensate. New about 3" front and rear...and a bit more in my pocket. I probably don't need aftermarket A-Arms and the CV Angles will still be OK IMO.

Well finally made my decision on what to do. Steering was wandering a bit and found one of the two year old LBJs was loosening up. So I decided to get two ordered today to replace them both again. I was gonna get the clevis ring and rear spring isolator pads from JBA for .75-1" of lift but the shipping charges were so expensive. I decided to just get 6 (3 per front side) 2" ID Conduit Washers for the front lift and ordered 4 rear upper spring isolator pads for the rear. Also gonna do a front brake job at the same time followed by a new alignment. Then re-attach my Aluminum ASFIR Front Skid and ASFIR Tranny/Transfercase Skid. Kinda glad I didn't spring for the whole adjustable coilovers and a-arms...saved a bundle and it will give me what I need/want...maybe some new rubber too.

JBA does have some great stuff and Marlin is a great guy to work with...he actually steered me the less expensive direction.

I am debating the same thing right now, JBA Coilover or OME/Ironman with some extra lift. OME is half the price(almost) but I bet its not half the product.

What about H&R raising springs. http://www.hrsprings.com/application/search/results/17/1498/2005
I've seen a set of four springs on Amazon for $280

they dont list a CRD specific springs but according to this thread, at least one CRD owner seemed satisfied. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=81202&p=865359#p865359

I have the OME on there currently and they do ride good. It would be nice to have adjustable struts...but mine does everything I need it to do as it sits now. I just want to add a bit more lift for tire clearance. My 255/70/16 just rub a bit at full lock...have for years but I am just now getting to it

Even if somebody had just a stock ride...this method would give you some lift for a very cheap price...well under $100 and the stock strust/shocks should be long enuff to use the 1" or so of lift. Put some 235/75/16's on it and off you go.

I am going to be running 265/70/16's on Moabs, although I wish I have gone 75. Anyways, I am def going to need some lift.

This is exactly what I did back in Nov.
Conduit nuts up front and doubled up the rear spring isolators.
Cheap 1" lift.

What is your measurement from the center cap of you wheels to the bottom edge of your plastic fenders?

Mine with my OME setup are 20.5" Front and 21" Rear...from center of center cap to bottom outside edge of plastic fenders. Be interesting to see what I gain with the 3 each conduit nuts per side and 2 each upper rear spring isolator pads per side...

Mine, with stock springs, 4 conduit nuts under each strut, and four rubber isolators at each rear spring (2 additional per side), measures about 19.5 to 20 inches.

BTW, I do not recommend KYB struts up front. They suck.
I'm going with Ranchos next time.

Well hopefully I will get about 21.25" and 21.75" or so respectively. Thanx for the measurement numbers

Back in '12, I put a Skyjacker 2.5" lift on my KJ CRD, and some Firestone 245/75/16 ATs. The bigger tires corrected the factory speedo mis-calibration, and the added height keeps said tires from rubbing. My mileage dropped only by about 1 mpg, and the ECO-tune keeps it running strong.

3 conduit nuts,
1/4" top plate
OME struts
OME790's (about 70K on these)

JBA- arms (did not change the height - but drives so much better with the front end aligned)
and ARB bumper

21" front

Yep...I should go ahead and do the UCA...while I am at it. More money spent but to a good end IMO.

What did you do in the rear to level out the lift???

Just ordered the UCAs from JBA...probably a good investment.
