Squeeto and others, This is an excellent thread. I have just removed my EGR/FCV and have the weeks by-pass kit installed. My transmission is stock and has 147,000 miles. Nick and Yeti both tunes that look like they will work fine. Is there a separate tune for engines such as mine which have the hardware removed versus the program disabling the the EGR & FCV. Please forgive the question as I'm certain this topic has been addressed. I have owned CRd's since '05 but have never had any tuning experience. Thanks, Tom |

The correct tune for your application with the removed or disabled EGR and FCV are one in the same... They all disable any DTC's (check engine lights)... It makes no difference whether you simply unplug one of the items or totally remove all the hardware entirely, the tune results are the same....NO DTC's Got questions, just ask, you will get answers..... |

Thank you WWD !! I am going to order the MPPS cable from eBay and can't wait to try my hand at DIY tuning. Removing the EGR/FCV has improved the mileage and I'm looking forward to some better performance from a tune also. This forum is a valuable asset to any CRD owner !!!!
