I think you need the following tool: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-in-1-BALL-JOI ... 1766432445 Disclaimer: I have bought the tool and MOOG ball joints from CarID.com but have not yet completed the job yet! Too many things in pipeline. |

If you have an Autozone near you, they will rent/loan the tools you need for free. I tried Advance first, but they did not have the right size spacers in their kit. At Autozone, I rented two kits, but I didn't care since they give a full refund upon return. I brought the knuckle into the store, because the first kit did not have the spacers the I needed. Oddly enough, I think the kit that I ended up using was in their listing for a 2WD Liberty. Mine is 4WD, and I can't imagine Jeep going through the trouble to have different ball joints in a 2WD model. Anyway, the tool kit listed for the 2WD had the right spacers, so I got that along with the BJ press, and it was a breeze. |

You will also need a socket for the axle nut. Many say it is a 35mm, but my 35mm does not fit. I use a 36mm. Another tool that you can rent from Autozone for free. You'll need a 21mm socket for the ball joint nuts if I remember right. An impact wrench will make your life easier. Probably a six pack, more if you have helpers. |
