No welding. 100% bolt on.
But it was still a lot of work.

It looks pissed.

Thats not bad though. So thats only a 1" lift. My LCA's are almost horizontal on my jeep so I must be sagging hard.

A nice look. It really toughens the look of a Liberty.

I will be putting a stinger bumper on my TJ in a few months so if anyone wants my TJ bumper, I'll make you a good deal on it.

Ken

Thats one of the benefits of this modification. Because now I could install almost any kind Jeep TJ bumper.
Or I could just go back to the stock plastic stuff, but then I would have to install new inner fender liners.

Would be pretty trick to cut the ends (notch) and position them back towards the wheels and then weld. Would make a much cleaner look to cover the original KJ metal.

It would look better but the TJ bumper is not long enough to completely cover all the KJ metal. Even if you did notch and bend it.
It would also require a welder, which is a tool I do not have.

Maybe get someone to make even a small notch (top and bottom) and ease the ends back just a smidge...like 12-15 degrees or so...and then shape the ends a bit. I know it would cost a little bit...but I think it would look great. :JEEPIN:

...but as it sits...pretty darn kewl mod for cheap

Don't know how much those bumpers are, or if you can find in the bone yard. You could get a second bumper. Cut the ends off and use the ends of the second bumper to do the taper. I understand you don't have a welder and can't do that. Just making an observation. Looks pretty cool though.
