You can use up to a 2009 545rfe I believe without needing to swap valve bodies and solenoid packs. 2010 and later 545rfe's have a different solenoid pack and valve body that our crd tcm does not like. I put a 2010 Dodge ram 1500 trans in mine and was in limp mode until I put the old vb and solenoid pack in. Fixed the problem.


I think the same is true for newer 65rfe's....
