Where is the location of the two transmission filters for the CRD? I know one is inside the pan, but have been unable to locate where the second one is.

Also, do you know if the stock CRD tranmisssion (545rfe?) has a deep style transmission pan, or a shallow one?

Thanks for all of your help.

As you see from flash's picture, both of the filters are inside the pan, and as far as I can see, its a shallow pan. A deep pan like the PML fouls any skid plate you fit, unless you space the plate away from the mounting.

Yes, Both Inside the pan.

Be careful with the spin on filter as to not cross thread it or over tighten it. The Filter screws in on a plastic thread so its easy to force it and sometimes hard to start.
