Where is the location of the two transmission filters for the CRD? I know one is inside the pan, but have been unable to locate where the second one is. Also, do you know if the stock CRD tranmisssion (545rfe?) has a deep style transmission pan, or a shallow one? Thanks for all of your help. |

As you see from flash's picture, both of the filters are inside the pan, and as far as I can see, its a shallow pan. A deep pan like the PML fouls any skid plate you fit, unless you space the plate away from the mounting. |

Yes, Both Inside the pan. Be careful with the spin on filter as to not cross thread it or over tighten it. The Filter screws in on a plastic thread so its easy to force it and sometimes hard to start. |
