hi, i am new to kj and i have a 04 liberty (export model). i have a question about fuel filter. i see a lot of topic about air in the fuel filter and you need to bleed air out with pump. so i checked my filter and there is no pump on it. i know it is a noob question but is my fuel head replaced? what do you think? here is the pics: http://s23.postimg.org/mtw57eo57/IMG_20 ... 142939.jpg http://s14.postimg.org/5tlpf9zv5/IMG_20 ... 111223.jpg thanks edit: i have found this picture on google. i guess the thing in the middle is pump right? what is the procedure for bleeding air out of this type of filter? http://liberty.eurekaboy.com/racor7.jpg |

Yes that is a replacement filter head. If you only saw the photo, here is the rest of the page for that filter head. He kind of explains how to prime the system. http://liberty.eurekaboy.com/racor.htm Basically, you pull the plug just to the right of the priming pump, unscrew the pump knob and pump until diesel comes out of the hole. Go slow so you don't make a mess. On a new filter, you might have to prime it, wait a few minutes and do it again to get all of the air out. Jeremy |
