Can anyone get reading from the ambient pressure sensor mounted to the side of the air filter box? Is there a separate ambient pressure sensor in the ECU that can be read as well? I believe my maf and air box sensor are both faulty but want to verify. If both are dead, and not just the maf, then it makes me think the wiring is screwed up since they come through the same bundle. Thanks |

Nope. You can get intake air temperature from the MAP sensor. If your MAF its working you will get a reading from it. But nothing from that air box sensor. Unless it's unplugged or gone bad, then you will get a code. |

the code for the map on the side of the filter box is like a P1186 .......not remember exactly , and a P0101 for the MAF in my export 812 file and I'm not sure , but the map on the filter box read only the vacuum for calculate the load when the trottle is at 0% , the maf only read the flow of the air , the MAP in the manifold read intake temperature and boost , the only way to read the ambient pressure when the engine is on from the ECU is an accurate scanner like a Launch X 431 , the ambient prssure you can read with Dashcommand and ELM 327 .........for example , is the intake pressure with the engine off |
