Got all my goodies installed in about 10 hours.
Wouldn't you know it the fan pulley let go and the and ate the radiator. So now I have to source the assemble and a radiator
before it will be back up and running.

You know, someone recently posted about how they bypassed the viscous heater by removing the fan pulley and hoist bracket and replacing top idler pulley with a larger one. Obviously a shorter belt was required. But then you would only have the electric fan for engine cooling. |

If you don't sell the bracket, I'd like to experiment with it to see if the bearing is replaceable. It would be great to not have to spend 150 bucks on these things. |

Flash I just ordered the parts.... send me your address and I will send you the old bracket via USPS just cover the shipping cost, fair ? I debated going full Efan, however I had bad exp in the past with them in the climate I live in +100f often in the summer. So I have compromised and purchased the plastic fan and HD clutch set up .. So the bracket was $170 OEMparts Hayden HD clutch 2905 $38 plastic gasser fan $66 = $125 w ship rock auto The radiator ..  $300 shipped A $450 dollar Oh crud .. * I will be installing two alum or carbon fiber tubes in the fan shroud to act as a guard .. and keep the fan from eating another radiator. deeprecon1, Your radiator can be repaired. A good radiator shop can seal off the cells that are in question and you're back on the road. Hang in there  ,Tom |

I was thinking the same drop it off at the shop and get it fixed. I have the new one on order, if the repair fails then I have a back up. I still have my primary commute vehicle Honda CRV. I will sell it but not until all the upgrades and the liberty prove to be reliable for more than a couple weeks of commuting. One other thing I forgot, I lost one of the two cam pin plugs ...lol I know its a M10 x 1.0 by 5mm long. Im doing the search thing for a good supplier. Oh yes. This is my (now ex) girlfriends jeep. When I met her it had a bearing roar and a belt sqeek. She claimed it had it for years. What had happened in my case was the fan clutxh locked up, then it wore crooked on the shaft causing it to warp the shaft then toasted the bearing. I replaced the belt, when I removed the belt, the pulley was spinning in a oblong motion. After I installed the new belt it came apart 80ish miles later running 70 mph down I24. |

The cam plugs are not pressure-holding, so anything that fits and you can put an o-ring around the shoulders to create a light seal will be more than sufficient. |

I got the crd all buttoned up and back on the road. All I can say is ... wish I had got this little tractor sooner. such a great little power plant. plenty of power at stock settings , off course I have all my weeks kit installed so that helped. Next step tune the the bugger a bit and see how she does. Just ordered the ome 2790/2948 coils full brake kit rotors and ceramic pads, upper rear control arm Boomerang. Need some suggestions on shocks and struts .... next step new motor mounts |

Need some suggestions on shocks and struts .... next step new motor mounts You don't want to have to do the front struts twice, so get OME's to match your springs, unless someone points out ones that are better. The rear shocks are easy to change, and stock will get you by until you have $$ for good ones. I like the ride I get from matching OME set. When I got my CRD it had the OME springs with stock struts & shocks. It was dangerously unstable, and the struts&shocks were almost new. If you like it now, you'll really like it with a tune  Time for a new TC

Bilsteins are good front shocks too and can be found for under $100 each. |
