If the rail pressure solenoid is not closing, there will not be enough rail pressure to start the engine.
Three different solenoids have been tested, correct?
It's unlikely that all three are bad.
A fault in the rail pressure solenoid wiring could cause this but would also throw a code.
If no code, then something is commanding the solenoid to be fully open.
A rail pressure sensor problem could cause this.
Disconnecting the rail pressure sensor will command the solenoid to be fully closed.
If it will not start with the rail pressure sensor disconnected, the problem is either with the rail pressure solenoid or CP3.

This is where a rail pressure gauge would be really handy.

I checked the injectors with the best method I could come up with. I hooked up the shirt return line to a syringe bottom and cranked for 20 seconds on each injector. It was very difficult to measure a difference.
I did a bleed at the filter head with the lift pump running and it seemed like I got all the air out and had pressure on the prime bulb. And it started and ran for the longest time by far 7-10 seconds. I thought I for sure had it. While running I tried to give it a little more gas pedal and it died and would never start again tonight. Very frustrating!!
I do not understand why the fpv is dumping fuel. It may or may not be dumping for the first second of cranking but it definitely is after 2 seconds.
This fpv is my second used one to test. They both came used on a rail and had no signs of ever being removed and the previous owners said they never were. When o first tested the current newest fpv on Sunday it held pressure for the longest time something like five seconds, but I thought maybe that was do to the lack of bleeding after installing the new rail.
1-My question is can you ruin these valves with overpressure?
I tried running it with the fpv unplugged and the mprop unplugged independently. No difference.. My only thought now is to try this used cp3. I'm almost done with this thing.

Sorry, don't have the part number available right now.
I just searched Amazon for a fuel rail pressure gauge.
Just make sure that the gauge you order is 0-30,000 psi.
I saw a glowshift gauge listed for $100.

so that is a digital input only gauge?

Have you ever heard of anyone ruining the fuel pressure solenoid?
I'm wondering if I need to buy a new one because this thing is not closing at start, but either was the one before or before.
Anybody know where a great deal can be had on these???
thanks guy's

All the new rail pressure solenoids seem to be around $300.
Might want to try OregonFuelInjection to see what they have. I got my MPROP and rail pressure sensor from them.

At this point, it possible that the problem has nothing to do with rail pressure.
If the engine is just cranking and not starting the problem could be ASD fuse, ASD relay, SKIM module, camshaft sensor, or crankshaft sensor.
It could be a intermittent electrical problem that may not throw a code.
In my case, it was the rail pressure sensor harness connector. But I was getting a code for the rail pressure sensor at the time.

Yeah, I'm not excited about spending another $400 and possibly ruining the FPS, yet it looks like it is the likly to happen. Thx for the help Flash
