What are safe limits on EGT temps pre turbo (1\2 inch inside the manifold outlet) on our engines? I've seen a few discussions, but no definitive answers. I'd love to hear from Keith if he wouldn't mind chiming in.

Wow. That's more than I expected.

I've pushed mine past 1,600° twice and have had no bad consequences. It's all in being conscious of your actions, I knew what I was doing (4wd donuts) was going to shoot the EGTs up, so when it flew past 1400 I stopped. It pegged 1600 and then fell back down quickly.

I like to shut down below 400*. (pre-turbo).
