Is there a EGR delete kit for the 07-08 Grand Cherokee CRD? I just bought one and it looks like it'd improve inlet air flow if gone.

Does the battery tray secure a group 34 battery? I've got a webasto on the way, but it's going to be a while before I can justify replacing a well working battery.

Yes the Sasquatch battery tray will fit and function perfectly with a group 34 battery; I installed it and used it with my group 34 battery in the Sasquatch mount until such time I purchased and installed a larger group 65 Northstar AGM.
I did not use the metal top hold down plate that came with the mount on the group 34 as I was very concerned about it being to close to the positive (+) terminal.
I simply secured it with some rubber bungee cords temporarily...

I also temporarily had a grp 34 mounted, but I pushed it all the way towards the engine, and mounted the cover with the 2 holes closest the engine (of the tray) matched with the two holes closest the fender (of the cover) There were only 2 bolts holding it on, but it worked until I got the group 65.

When you get the grp 65 know in advance that they vary in height. The Odyssey AGM batteries are the perfect height it was designed for, so compare that when you shop. I installed a grp 65 that is not AGM. I had to fabricate spacer blocks so the cover would not be deformed from the gas valves on top. I had to use bolts 1" longer than the ones supplied because of that. This is no fault of the Battery Tray. The problems were caused by my going cheap on the battery.

I believe WWDiesel also had to use longer bolts because of the greater height of the Northstar line. Just be aware this may be a possibility if you don't compare battery height when you shop.

We do now include significantly longer bolts to hopefully accommodate a wider range of height variations.

See what I mean about this guy!
None of this "domino effect" train of troubleshooting after installing his stuff.
He's just like Prego. Whatever you need.. "It's in there"

I ended up installing longer 6mm bolts from the bottom with nuts on the bottom part as spacers (first picture), then installed the top plate hold down with a thin piece of rubber tool drawer liner on top of the battery to secure everything in place. Maybe the Northstar AGM is a little taller, just not sure!

These are the install pictures:

Why the tin foil wrapping around the battery?
Does that insulate if from the electromagnetic supermicrowaves of the shadow government's secret mind control device?
I'm sure THEY would love to scramble the logic circuits of these little Italian diesels...

That's to reflect engine heat away from the battery to help keep it from getting too warm.

Ah

I just insulated around the engine to keep heat from getting to everything else. Battery, control modules, wiring, etc.
