I have an 06 Jeep Liberty CRD, and am trying to remove the power steering pulley in order to replace the tensioner, but am experiencing much difficulty. I cannot seem to budge either of the three bolts on the power steering pulley. Ive been putting an allen wrench through the hole of the pulley to keep it in place and then wrenching the bolts clockwise, in reverse orientation. Is this the correct procedure? Should I maybe loosen the tensioner bolt first?

Mine were hard to crack the first time. Counterclockwise is the correct direction

Thank you. Were the 05 CRD's power steering pulleys threaded in the opposite manner, by chance?

Zap it with the air ratchet before removing the belt.
