It looks like some kind of mystery how each mfg has different requirements (so many start/stops, miles driven, heat cycles...) for the OBD to reset its readiness system for a vehicle to pass a smog test where the OBD is pluged in, . Does anyone know what the reset cycle is for the Liberty CRD?

It's very quick. It takes about a 5 minute drive to get readiness after resetting. I guess it's a half assed implementation like most other things on this vehicle.

Its usually 2 or 3 drive cycles.
But it kinda depends on the fault.
Some "hard" faults can still show when scanned even after CEL turn off.
Best to just buy a scan tool and clear the codes yourself.
