Question: when replacing the sway bar links I see that they are curved. Should both sides have the same profile also it says the top bolts at 100lbs of torque and bottom bolt 85lbs. Does it really matter to get the right amount of torque? Why can't I just tighten them down to any lbs. please explain, thanks

Just make them good and tight.
And its best to tighten them with the front wheels on the ground, not on jackstands.

What about the direction of the curve should they have the same profile when installed?

I would just match with the original link orientation. If you already took the links off the vehicle already then let me know, I can post a picture of mine. I would torque as FSM says. Logically speaking, the top end transfers forces back-and-forth and hence higher torque. Lower end has more bearing surface with the knuckle and hence lower torque. I am guessing but factory must have good reason to have different torques for both ends.

Pjigar that would be great if you could send me pictures of both sides since I took them off and didn't remember the orientation. Thanks, Bill
