Well, our Jeep is running well since the rocker arm affair. We had a few stalls and a code (don't remember the exact number) but I found the fuel filter was not fully tightened and letting air in the system. A few days ago it stalled and showed code P0340. It started right up and has been fine so far. The code indicates a camshaft position sensor error. Has anyone seen this before? Not sure just what is going on. Maybe related to removing the valve cover and possibly bumping the sensor? Any thoughts are appreciated... Thanks, Kurt |

Yeah it's possible it was bumped or possibly something happen if you cleaned it. That sensor is on the exhaust side all the way in the back |

Yes, I found it but doesn't look to be in a dangerous place. I noticed NAPA offers a plug to go with a new sensor, I wonder if there have been plug and or wiring harness issues (?) |

All has been well, no problems or codes. I ordered a new cam position sensor and plug from NAPA. I will install the plug and solder the wires into the harness. |

I ran the Jeep several hundred miles through two tanks of fuel with no new codes. Also running great! I got a new cam sensor and plug from NAPA. I will put them in tomorrow and call it done |

I ran the Jeep several hundred miles through two tanks of fuel with no new codes. Also running great! I got a new cam sensor and plug from NAPA, installed them and all remains well. Not sure if it was a problem but it is replaced now. FYI... The sensor sold by NAPA is the same Bosch sensor as what I removed. |
